Guide
Family moderation and inner circle
Every contribution sits in a queue until the steward approves it. You choose whether an approved memory is public or visible only to the inner circle you invite.
Public timeline
Public memories appear on the open memorial page — what most visitors and search engines can see once the page is verified.
Use public for stories and photos you are comfortable sharing with anyone who loved them, including old friends you may not know personally.
Inner circle
Invite close family and friends by email. They can see and add inner-circle-only memories — useful for medical details, family disputes you do not want public, or stories meant only for relatives.
Stewardship if family disagree
We use a published family order for who may take stewardship if more than one person needs control. See the stewardship page for claims, living-person reports, and takedowns.
Common questions
- How fast should I approve submissions?
- There is no deadline. Many stewards check the queue weekly at first, then less often as activity slows.
- Can inner circle content leak to Google?
- Inner circle routes are not meant for public indexing. Keep sensitive material in inner circle, not on the public timeline.
- What if someone posts something cruel?
- Do not approve it. You can report ongoing abuse through our privacy contact form if needed.
